just picked up my first 1275 its out of a 1300 gt with the factory tutrified crank just wondering if the crank will hold up or if i should get it worked on and nitrocarburized. and a question with pistons is it better to run more dish like the 18cc with less headwork or less dish more headwork.

The crank will be fine.

If you could choose between a big dish in the pistons or the head there is a trade off between good combustion or good breathing. You'll never get the best of both worlds in a Mini, but I doubt you'll be a ble to measure big difference.
