well ive got one...

only question is what sort of tolerance should the shaft have? on the garrett site it does state that if it spins and dosnt touch the sides of the housing then its ok, how much play did other peoples have? mine plays like this...

http://www.youtube.com/user/rickbritishcru...u/0/6W2rPeR_Ofc

it does spin nice and freely there is none of the other type of play (forward and back) but if pushed over and spun it can very slightly graze the housing somewhere as i can hear it, i wouldnt say its rubbing tho thats a bit far, well enough blabbering im just wondering that the oil film you have when it isnt dry should take this up, what do you recon?

IMO, shaft play is dependant oh how 'dry' the unit is - ie has all the oil drained out so the bearing has more 'play' than another loaded with thick oil.
Axial play is the key: None = good condition. The lack of oil staining around the centre housing is always a good sign. That turbo looks ready to bolt on IMO.

i was informed it was in good condition, and as the seller said it looks new, there is no play in and out what so ever :). im not clued up on turbos yet tho and still mave much to learn (will come in time) so thought to ask just in case. :). looking forward to trying it tho as i think itl suit my engine spec.
