is the std dump valve in the plenum blocked off?

yeh std dump valve has been welded up, suppose i can have a go with the soapy water but would have thought the heat would dry it up |

turbo shagged and blades hitting the housing? turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

nope, had a turbo re-build about 600miles ago and would have thought would make a bit more noise than that. it is defintly a air leak. it also boosts up fine but when it hits 5ish psi you can really hear it |

change the hoses like lizzard says, might be a pin hole/rip on one? or just take them all off and put back on. (sometimes this works) |

Block off the compressor housing with a cap, then connect the airline to the boost circuit and fill it up, listen for the leak. I have a fitting in the plenum! |

Right, star mag, just tried your idea and it seams to have worked, was leaking between the body of the plenum and the hose takeoff, sealed it just waiting for it to dry now, hopefully thats it.
