Just need to vent......

Im on the look out for a classic shape impreza at the moment (wont say which model as someone will edit my quote and use it as a signature!) and the amount of really bad adverts out there is unbelievable!I dont expect a perfect essay on the car but more than a few words in text speak would be nice.

I thought it was probably has something to do with imprezas attracting chavs but seems to be the same for any sort of decent horsepower car until you get to about £6k or so.

Please say its not just me that gets pissed off by this?

I found the same when I got the old two Imprezas, every little chav and his burberry cap wanted one/had one and it was like a 14 year old had written it. I've given up on trying to read adverts for Skylines/S14s now.

around here most of the guys with imprezas dont have jobs.. or the ability to talk properly never mind write an add,

Correct Brett! Me and the missus were once out for a drive in the tangerine when i passed a silver scooby with the worst body kit youve ever seen with an amoeba sat at the wheel! He immediatley span it around and gave chase. I could see him tear arsing up behind me anyways we pulled up at some lights and he got along side. There was some chav dickhead in the back rodding me and laughing. His face was knocked the opposite side of hid head when i battered him off the line leaving him in a ploom of blueish fog!

As I said,pretty sure its down to the plebs that drive them.I have a decent budget for the right car but theres so much abused shit out there (likes of the one mike mentioned above I would guess).

There is a lot of abused shit out there, but if you persevere eventually you will find a nice example, usually owned by a mature owner since new or nearly new.

i'd agree with that, i've been trawling through ads for s14a's and skylines for the past few weeks and there's a lot of barried up shit about. you can tell they've been ragged by every cap wearing muppet under the sun.

I tend to look for the imports of these now. Mainly because most burberry wearing illiterate wankage can't afford to buy/insure them. Or the most boring looking one I can find.

Hopefully I will come across something along those lines but losing hope at the moment and started looking at other decent power jap stuff.

On the plus side though I have come across some stuff that made me chuckle such as "DIS IS MILES FATSA DAN ANY EVO ON DA ROAD" from a guy who reckoned he had 325bhp from a turbo 2000 scooby with a filter,exhaust and chip.......keep dreaming!

Go for a Wrx wagon, there are plenty of unmolested examples about. I had found a good one, then got the insurance quote of £1600 quid so that put end to that.

Now decided to keep the honda, and get a Defender instead when the right one comes up. Trying to find one of those that hasn't been fucked, for sensible money is virtually impossible.
