thought i would post this on here you lot seem more clue'd up

was just wondering could my soleniod be to fault? i have relocated the soleniod from my inner wing to my passenger inner bulkeadhead (back of turbo box)

and i have lengthened all of the wires and because i havent got the larger gauge stuff i have run two jump leads across to the starter motor it kicks over but very slowly

and i only get lights if i swap the wires over but then i lose indicators and when i swap them back i only get indicators but no lights!

Impossible to diagnose from your description. Multiple wires instead of one will be fine as long as the cross-sectional area is the same, but a bit of a bodge.

Sound to me like you've wired it wrongly, double chack everything.

The slow cranking could also be a bad earth where you have mounted it. the body of the solenoid needs to be securely mounted to the car similar thing happened to me when one of the bolts that hold it to the inner wing came lose worth checking

as for the lights issue its difficalt to say with out seeing what you have done

billy, il be honest mate, and im not one for telling people to give up.but i really think you should just walk away from minis because if you do ever get a mini on the road, it will be dangerous.

Im speaking from actually meeting the lad.

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

*hehe!*

I swear all his Gaysbook status' are about his car breaking/selling stuff/his car breaking.

Check all your earths firstly. As for the lights issue, I'd check everything is wired properly/right way around.

Hahahahahaha!!!!

Sound like he's extended wires and cross reconnected them.... Plus a potential bad earth on the solenoid...

And most off the shelf jump leads are pure dung.

Only decent ones Ive ever used are home made from 35mm^2 welding cable.

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
