Somewhere around Swindon

Can anyone recommend a book for someone new to digital slr photography? i have looked on amazon but there loads to choose from so i dont know whats good or bad, when i did my Gcse and as levels it was all about film so the books i have are not really relivant and its for my cousin who has has just bought her first slr

There are all the same sort of thing teaching the same basics if you get a for a beginner copy so whatever you get will be helpful. It would be nice if you know roughly what sort of photography they might be into so you could get a book around that.

While it might not be specifically digital photography, I have nearly a fill collection of the fortnightly magazine 'Camera Wise' from the early 90's. only a few issues missing.

This is over 10kg of information on photography covering every aspect from studio to dark room.

This is an excellent resource to any one starting out in photography.

Don't let the lack of digital photography content put you off, as you still use the same principles to get you the results in pictures.

I did try and sell it, but its clear no one was interested and iots due to go to recycling at the weekend, which is a real shame. Its yours for the cost of postage, and I doubt you would be dissapointed!
