will grinding the fins on the gearbox case structurally weaken it?

will grinding the fins on the gearbox case structurally weaken it? im not worried about the cooling ill lose as ill be running an oil cooler.. reason is half of the fins are already broken off/chipped and i just like shiny things.. Yes i moved to the darkside |

Yes he did as I have the casing sat in my cellar. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

cool thanx guys ill remove about half the fins and polish up the case nice and shiny like after i get back from holidays in a weeks time =D ill post pics later
