Hi
I just replaced the shaft, turbine, oil seals, thrust bearing and journal bearing on my GT17, but I seem to have some in/out play.

It's a very small amount, barely visible but you can hear it clunk.

Question is, what else could the play be down to? I've checked all the other components and they 'seem' to be in good shape.

Play can be very deceptive,

When I pulled my lump out I levered to crank end to end to see what the thrusts were like, it seemed like loads of play and I was thinking fucked crank... measured it and it was 5 thou,

can you dti it? do we know the clearance specs ?

I can dti it tonight, but I don't know what the tolerance is supposed to be.

I reckon it's more like 1-2.
