Mount it somewhere solid, the bulkhead is the best place, just make sure you can get to it easily

Adam, Where do I look for an inertia switch on a Mondeo? Im hopefully going to the scrappies at the weekend.

All fuel injected Fords have them in either the left, or right, A-Pillar. Mondeos are on the left hand pillar, just above where the bottom hinge is. I mount mine onto the pedal box - but any point on the bulkhead will suffice!

the ford ones are high current IIRC dave, or atleast the one i got i reckon was.
