Hey all,

I got a Ryobi grinder for xmas, but it says it's a 110v one, and has a weird 3-prong socket that looks like a caravan light-plug and not a plug - what's the deal? Can I just remove it and put a normal plug on it, or is it some bonkers system that I need to just re-sell and buy a standard grinder?

Advise please :)

You'll need a transformer for that.

sounds like bog standard 110v power tools.

Either get a transformer for it, or buy a 240v grinder.

Personally I'd sell it on and buy a 240v. Each to their own but when I'm welding and grinding there is usually more than enough shit about the place to fall over without needing a transformer as well.
