Hey, does anyone know what a standard MPI front mount rad+fan will be like size wise in a standard round nose? Was looking at one today and I imagine it's very tight but can you get away with it using an alternate alternator or anything? Or perhaps move it across and get a smaller starter?

I've a bloody tight fit and in my opinion it isn't worth it unless you really like a challenge, you'll need to ditch the dizzy & run engine management, relocate the oil filter and come up with some custom bracketing for the alternator and it's still extremely tight. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

I'm running Megajolt anyway so dizzy isn't an issue, would I be better off with just a 2 core side mount do you think? |

Heres mine. There is about 5mm clearance between the denso alternator, with the back of the grill trimmed for the fan and the front panel hacked about too.

Thanks for the help, I got it anyway because it was cheap enough, at least i'll have options in the future, I may just stick with the side mount based on you saying it runs hotter on the MPI set-up though |
