What size allen key will i need for this crank bolt from minispares.
I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

13mm or 1/2" cant remember which,

1/2" rings a bell but measure before buying as I'm not 100%.

I seem to remember I struggled to find a socket mounted hex bit, so I made my own from an old 1/2" socket and a cut off 1/2 allen key.

Ive been trying to find a new one for years as mine is slightly twisted, Snap on and Mac dont do them, cant remember where I got my original one from I seriously doubt it! |

HOl don men, it may be an inperial thread but it is clearly cut from a stock bolt after the origional bolt has been made and blacked, there froe it could be mad eform an M20 for all we know,

Actually Carl has point. Upon looking at it again mine is slightly different being about 8 years old, it is a standard cap head bolt with a non threaded portion. The one in the link is a modified bolt by the looks of it I seriously doubt it! |

Beats me why Minispares dont sell the 1/2" allen socket. If they pointed out in the description that the bolt needs this socket and pointed the buyer to the right tool, Im sure they would sell as nearly many sockets as bolts. I have pointed this out to Gavin but it looks like it might have fallen on deaf ears perhaps. On 26th Oct, 2004 TurboDave16v said:
