Quick question before I buy a new dizzy for my suck through supercharger project. Is vacuum or non vacuum best ?. I'm getting differing info from companies I call. So would like to call on people who have tried and tested to see what they think. I'm going to go for a 123 dizzy, as sold by mini spares, so I have lots of adjustable advance curves to play with.

If you are going to use the 123 dizzy get the one that does retard on boost.

However a cheaper and infinately more flexible option is to go for megajolt.

Have a search on this forum about it.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

And if it has retard on boost then it MUST have a vac/boost diaphram.

IMO no point having a 123 dizzy without a vac diaphram (infact any dizzy without one) it's the only way it can adjust depending on load.

from experience buy Mega Jolt now, you will only buy it in the future...

For a super charger setup the SC wheel is probably your best off the shelf option.

Thanks for the response. With Megajolt in mind, I don't suppose you know if there is any issue with the trigger wheel working/fitting up with a jonspeed (its the only jonspeed part I've used) bottom pulley. And if there is any clearance issues between it & the bottom rad/engine mount bracket. Also, ideally if I do go megajolt, as it looks pretty good after a quick search on turbo minis. Is this kit ( http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Complete-Megajolt-ig...=item33639734b7 ) good value for money?. As I'd ideally like to just buy a kit, rather than piece it all together. Although it says complete, I can see that it does not include a dizzy blank. Is there anything else you think that its missing, or would be a good idea to use as well?.

The Jonspeed pulley can be used with a triggerwheel kit from specialist components without any problems

That kit is a bit cheaper if you buy direct from their site rather than ebay

Judging by the pic's, the pip/saw lines etc are not sheilded cable on the loom so you would need to sort that.

Although desirable to have them shielded it is not essential. I have run mine for years without with no problem. The VR sensor too, but a proper install should have shielded cables.

Hi thanks for the response. I think I will give trigger wheels a call and enquire if their wheel will work with a jonspeed pulley as well.
