Have you got a haines manual and a timing light?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

you need a stobe, i would set the ignition timing at 6 deg before top dead centre at 1000 rpm, with the vacume pipe disconected from the distributor cap for this purpose, use number 1 lead

the big pointer on the thing chain cover is TOP DEAD CENTRE and for every pointer back after the is 4 degrees

make sure you set the points gap @ 0.015" or 0.4mm first!
there are many other websites showing you just how to using a strobe ... maybe the haynes manual is a good start...... just google it

hope this helps
