Hi all im new here and and looking for advice,ive got an idea i want to try and was wondering if anyone knows if it may work or not.my idea is to buy an early mk2/3 or even a mk1 and restore it from scratch but make a normal mini a soft top with a turbo engine in it.Anyone know if im totally mad or if it might work and the best place to start any help would be gratefully received.Also anyone know the years of the different marks thanks

MK 3 started in the early 70's, when they stopped having external hinges (non commercials that is).

I would just buy a latish (80s/90s) boring one if you want to chop it about, save the rarer ones for restoration etc
