Hi guys just after some aus parts sites if anyone knows any and would like to share there wealth of wizdom it would be most appreciated. im after some SS parts thats all

NickG - Do you think he could get some AUS spec clubman door handles and a section of door skin etc from around them?

exactly, if you can get 2 sets I'm happy to go halfs on postage etc.

would be fun modifying my alu door skins for them!

If Nick cant do it ill try and help out. People dont usually bother repairing doors over here lol.

as i said dime a dozzen im sure stig has 100 of them doors in the shed with all his other spare parts lol :p

Lol nah the only doors ive got are the ones on my cars.
Will you need the locking rods or just the levers?
And is it this style you want?

I guess we'd need a good sized chunk of door and all the rods etc that are different to ordinary doors.

Are the locks seperate?

Ill take it apart tomorrow and get some photos. Its a bit late here.
Might need to get the slam plates off the b pillar too. If not the handle might be able to be modified to suit UK locks.

Right i took the passenger side apart quickly today. Got it nearly apart but the lock is still in the door.

Back view of the lift up handle (that bracket sits behind the door skin and holds a plastic rocker that joins the handle and the lock mechanism.

Internal view of the mechanism. The whitish bit is half of the plastic rocker.

Front view of where the bracket bolts in and holds the handle in place.

The inside view with the 2 rods coming through from the door handle. Looks like you just need to cut the right sized hole in your door then bend a bit of sheet to mount it on and youd be sweet.

I would have thought the rover mechanism would work fine with those handles?

i have some rover mechanism parts laying around ill look some time.

Actually you're probably right. With the plastic rocker bit and the bards either end it may. Would still need the locks and a section of door to use as a template...

When are you free to come round then Nick?
Its a shit of a job but should be manageable.
