I'm after a DAB radio for the garage. Doesn't need to be anything special, just needs to be louder than the angle grinder and get reasonable reception as my current one gets emotional when I jack the car up...

I thought there wasnt many stations on DAB yet, and that they needed bigger aerials or something ?

FFS if it's anything like digital TV here...it wont work !
When it rains I lose signal, and when it freezes hard I lose signal !! WTF

Absolute 80's, that's the only station you need.

There are loads of stations on DAB (well in England anyway). I can see the transmitter from my front window and the signal is still not great. This is because the DAB signal bandwidth would interfere with the analogue signal if at full strength so it is very low power, hence the hit and miss reception. For DAB to work properly it will need the analogue switched off, oh dear.

I have one of those Robi devices plugged into the ipod, then into an old stereo system in the garage.Uses the stereo feed as an aerial.I get Planet Rock loud and clear. The only station where the playlist is interchangeable with the one on my ipod!

'Where does the engine go?'
