I got an email about this over the weekend and haven't seen any other posts about it.....

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php

$199 is about £124 so good value for money as it includes the sensor but no logging (you need a laptop for this) and a fairly short sensor lead.

What's new about it ? Hasnt that been around for ages ?

TBH I like the look of PLX devices multifunction display. But it's bloody pricey !!!
But definately a novel piece where you can display multiple items on a single round 52mm or 60mm gauge.

speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

Thing is that price is exclusive of postage and taxes.

as a general rule, add $30 for delivery, then, worst case scenario add 4.5% duty and 20% VAT, and you are now looking at £180.

Me personally, I would pay the extra £40 for a VEMS unit that doesnt need any sort of calibration, has a boost controller built in, and comes with built in Exhaust gas temp input (just needs the thermocouple). But then I might be biased after installing a few.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

I like the VEMS gauge too,

however, on this new gauge it looks like there is the ablility to stuff the CAN data straight to an MS.

From what I can see, it's like an LC1 so to use CAN data to an MS you're going to need to use my I/O Extender like others are doing here. This allows you to get the digital data over the WBO2 controller's serial link to the IOx which then decodes and transfers it over the CAN bus to an MS2/Extra or MS3 ECU
