Yes but probably not at the same time. *tongue*

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I know someone who was going to be doing it. If he did I don't know but it wouldn't surprise me if he didn't, too many problems.

Would be easier when a blow through system is available *wink*

From the research i have done for it, the mirage turbo setup would make better use of space. Those pics are of the M24 blower which is quite a bit smaller than the M45 which would also help.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

The SC has an actuator, so it would be easy enough to do mappable boost control with it...

Boost from idle?

Personally I would just go with an appropriately sized turbo.

Im guessing the supercharger would feed the turbo and act as anti lag. I do have to agree with john though and say for all the work that would be required to make it work, sorting a correct turbo would be an easier route. But where is the fun in that!! lol

Didn't David Vizard talk about nitrous to combat boost lag? Or what about VTG turbos? Are they yet available for petrol engines? They seem to be fairly common for diesels, but I remeber heat being the problem for petrol applications...

I was talking to a kid at the Renault world series with a R5 GT Turbo and he had a VNT turbo on that. He said he was getting 18psi of boost just below 2000rpm! He's either mastered the VNT control or he's mastered bullshitting.

I think you have to consider why manufactures may do it and why one of us might want to do it.

Manufacturers will want to make an engine that has the best compromise between fuel consumption and power. However a large highly efficient turbo will have a high boost threshold, so the SC is on to compromise, well this is my guess why.

Us lot on the other hand want lots of power. Now we know a turbo that is available that boost from 2k ans will produce n excess of 200bananas, so why as a supercharger, just ballast as far as I can tell.

Just a quick bit. My old man new scirocco is 2litre turbo and supercharged, the r model and it has power like no other turbo car at the bottom end and has it all at the top. I would love to see it done on an a series.

There are quite a few lads running vnt turbos on the Renault club. From what I believe they take a lot of adjustment to work correctly.
Not something I have looked into though as the turbos weren't cheap to buy!
