I have been thinking, alot of the people on tm love 10" wheels but are starting to move to 13" due to traction Issues, i didnt realise untill now that you cout get 205 profile 13's.

i run 195/45/13 on my road wheels (13*7 starmags) and theres a night and day difference in traction and comfort compared to stretched 175's on teh same wheels. I tried running 215(or was it 205) kumhos, but i found them too wide and only ever got enough heat into them to work after lots of wheelspin! i guesss this is cause the mini just doesnt weigh that much. guess there just isnt the market for 10's turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

I'd love to have some sticky 185 wide 10" tyres for my mini |

My 13x8 Alleycats are on 195 SP9000s. I'm gutted they've disconned them but thankfully I know someone with a good few sets for me when I need them On 2nd Nov, 2010 wil_h said:

The thing is, is that the handling properties of 10s are based on large sidewall movement and lower grip levels. so as soon as you have higher grip, you'll get massive sidwall movement and no more grip as a consequence.

the design shows a distinct lack of imagination, talk about starting off with a clean sheet of paper, then not bothering to fucking draw on it,lol On 20th Apr, 2012 Paul S said:

Ah i see might explain why i couldnt just pop my mig slicks onto my force rims but could with my dunlop sp sports. Imo i think there is a market out there for some wide 10" tyres with slightly stronger side walls. Just think how many people switched to 13's for the grip but prefer 10's Drives

So, shall we start bombarding Yokohama with emails about making wider tyres? =) |

Avon make a very good 10" tyre with a stronger side wall (still 165 though). They're a little difficult to get hold of as they are twice the price of 032Rs so only those who appreciate them buy them! |

Some 195 yoko A048's for 12 inch wheels would be just the ticket for me.
