what do you mean same type??
same amount of tooth?

Also want to fill lightened flywheel in the future - should then i mach them somehow to avoid buying different starter motor to fit with flywheel?

Is this one will fit on standard engine now and then will be ok with lightened flywheel in the future running around 200bhp low compression??

or you can advice something different??

Thanks :)

There are basically two different types, inertia and pre-engaged.

The preengaged has the solenoid on it the inertia has the solenoild on the inner wing.

As long as you are swopping like for like then it makes no differance between 1275 and 998.

As far as bhp is concerned it makes no differance. Incact a low compression turbo will be easier to spin over than a standard motor.

Lightened flywheels are available for all starters, so no worries which one you have.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph
