Hi All, have scanned the archives and found useful stuff on restrictors to make SU density sensitive for boosted applications.

What I am unclear on is if the restrictor simply serves the purpose of increasing the pressure differential across the jet as boost pressure rises and pressure losses across the restrictor begin to occur. If this is the case I am wondering if I can simply take FPR and fuel bowl boost references directly from the turbo compressor outlet, and let losses through the intercooler and associated plumbing serve the same purpose - I estimate there would be about 1-2 psi losses between compressor outlet and carb.

Anyone tried this?

Cheers, Andrew Robertson, New Zealand

This was mentioned by someone ages ago but not sure if they tried it out. As you say, use the pressure drop across the intercooler rather than restrictor. I will have a dig.

If you do a search on here for pitot tubes that may be of some interest to you.

Yes this will work. What you may find is that you'll need a few goes at finding a sweet spot where the differential is right.
