Hi again lads.

Just after some advice again.

I'm going to get some Omega pistons this week. im going to get my head re bored to lower the compression rate so what pistons should i look for?

if someone could help me much appreciated.

depends on the cr you are after and how big the chambers are going to be on the head

just been looking on phils site again and it advises 8-0.1 for 12psi so how far should i open the chambers up by?

you need to work out your compression ratio based on the bits you're putting in the engine.

As a guide, I am looking at cast 10cc omegas in +0.020 (1293), with the 0.040 deck height, BK450 head gasket and 28cc head chambers giving me 8.0:1 (my maths is not guaranteed). I'll be having my block and head skimmed (just a clean up), so that might go up a little.

In out van, we've run 15psi regularly and more at times on around 8.2:1. It hasn't blown up yet, but we've not had the head of yet (coming of in a few weeks)...

I think you've misread mate, it says 8.0-1 for 20+ psi. :)
