I have no experience with the SU carb for forced induction .

I see the same carb , HIF44 , used for various engine capacities , from 850 to the 2L Montego engine .

Is there much internal changes [ spring + needle ]
Is there a different size main jet fitted

Thanks
Carl

Cheers for the pointer Ben -
I must be rubbish at using the search feature - missed that one completely !

So to clarify - is there only one mainjet size for these carbs and tune by needle , even for different capacity engines ?

I'm looking at a supercharged 1200cc

p.s I need to get a carb and dont want to end up with a Montego one if it isnt going to be any use

Any carb will be of use. More importantly are you blow through or suck through ?

9.85 @ 145mph
202mph standing mile
speed didn't kill me, but taxation probably will

North Yorkshire

The montego carb comes with an auto choke that you would have to convert to manual, so it is best avoided unless it is a bargain.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Matt Wood's runs 300bhp on a turbo hif44, so one should be more than man enough for your application.
