if the inner race is tight, I usually use a bit of heat and the 2 arm puller on the bearing splitter although you could use levers. I generally don't re-use them though as the heat normally affects the cage |

Ok lovely job guys, is a press required for fitting the bearings as they are sounding a little bit like wheel bearings

Press makes it easy, a big vice will do it though, or hammer and drift.

I've had one that was a PITA the get off once. Bit naughty but I put a crow bar down the back and it just slid off with that! If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |
