Has anyone used these Avon CR500 175/55/13 tyres im looking them as an alternitive to the a048s as they are 80-90% as good in the dry but are also very good in the wet acording to the caterham guys.

i am just wondered if anyone has used them on a mini?

They are wank, or at least that is what we found with the ones on the DON. They were sold as not very old but I think they are ancient, as they are rock hard.

The tyres on the Don, are ACB 10s , not CR 500,.

I'd just go for A539's if you're using them in the wet as well. Never had an issue with mine.

I found the contisports pretty good,

there is a new maxis out that might be worth a punt,

There Maxxis MAZ-1 Victras if anyone wanted to read up on them. I've got a set on my daily driver (albeit 235/35/19) and not had any issues with them. Not as good as the contisports but they were less than half the price in the above size.
