Has anyone used these Avon CR500 175/55/13 tyres im looking them as an alternitive to the a048s as they are 80-90% as good in the dry but are also very good in the wet acording to the caterham guys.

Are they not 185?? If so then i think the don uses them, not 100%sure but i have seen it using avon tyres before Drives

They are wank, or at least that is what we found with the ones on the DON. They were sold as not very old but I think they are ancient, as they are rock hard.

The tyres on the Don, are ACB 10s , not CR 500,.

Be interesting if anyone has used them I use the car in the wet and the dry so was looking for an alternative. "Tuning should be a compromise between what is possible and what is necessary"

There Maxxis MAZ-1 Victras if anyone wanted to read up on them. I've got a set on my daily driver (albeit 235/35/19) and not had any issues with them. Not as good as the contisports but they were less than half the price in the above size.
