Hi all

Just stripped the interior to my metro and am wanting to no if the sealant along the edge is normal.

Didn't want to start a new post so wondered if any one can help me as I have decided to focus on the handling side of things for now. But all I have come to in my many searches on the internet is new dampers (spax) and proflex bushes Is there any thing else out there for the metro??? I have Heard abit about weld in rear turrets so you can run dampers.

Will put my build thread on when I'm getting some where (money)

Many thanks sean

It is seam sealer, can rust behind it. Solid mounting the subframes improve the handling and making sure there is no play in ball joints, track rock ends etc

there is a pipe between the rear hydrospastic units, they have separated the two to increase roll stiffness.

apart from this other good mods are to weld up all the subframe mounts to get rid of the rubber, also the front bottom arm to roll bar bushes wear at a terrific rate, the best solution here is nylatron bushes, especially if you have access to a lathe and can knock them up your self.

it looks like the hard nylatron ones are no longer available, however there are these, the will still be miles batter than the std bushes.

yes its mot ok, the actual mod is fairly easy, the pipe is the same as brake pipe, and has the same style fittings, you need to get two pipes made up and fit them with schrader (tyre) valves ( there is aready one in the std line) you then refill the hydro system via the valves.

The tricky bit is ballancinng the height on all four corners,
