Never heard of anyone using them on a mini, but my mate uses them on his kit car, and a lot of other kit car lads use them with great results, unable to comment on them in wet though.

I use Toyo Proxes T1R on my daily, and won't use anything else now. They are superb, great in the wet better in the dry. Nice a quiet too. And they are good value.

Were very popular on hillclimbs for road cars til the buggered about with the tyre regs.

What load rating are they available in?

From a quick check of all my cars it seems that the load rating is generally 1/2 the weight of the car. My 13s on my mini are 72 (355kgs) 80 is 450kgs.

I think they'll be a bit hard, but as they are track day tyres you maty get away with it.

wil 185 60s even fit in the arches and clear the rear radius arm?

ok that’s what I’m un sure of i can’t see that it will make that much difference where the radius arms are as people run 195s but where it pivots could be an issue because of larger diameter and if it does hit would it be mod able to make them fit ok. Seeing as there £19 each cheaper than the yokos it’s a good saving

But 195's are a 45 profile tyre - these are a 60 profile!

Meaning that the 195/45/13 tyres should have a sidewall that is 45% of the width (so 87.75mm) making them exactly the same size as a 175/50/13 tyre (50% of 175mm).

The 185/60/13’s sidewall will be 111mm, quite a bit bigger!!
The overall diameter of said wheels & tyres will be around 2” bigger than a normal wheel & tyre using 175/50’s or 195/45’s – so there’s the problem. I’m almost certain the radius arms will be a problem, even if you’ve tubbed arches - unless you fabricate longer radius arms and move the pivot point further back, of course…!

if your 7x13's its worth looking at the 195 45's,

stretchiung the 175's onto 7J's can give twitchy handiling, the 195's are apparently mor stable at speed,
