Hi all,

Could somebody please confirm whether should I have a spring on my clutch slave cylinder?

I think it needs a damn good bleed but I'm not sure whether there should be a spring on there too!

Sorry for the slightly crap pic

Thanks for any help :)

no that is a verto cluch setup because of where the cylinder is mounted so return spring is needed

OK thanks for clearing that up.

Hoping a hardcore bleed will make it work a bit better :)

yes chances are you have air in the system and it can take forever to get rid of it.

Open the bleed nipple and leve it overnight. Clutches always seem to self bleed in my experience.

Thanks for the advice

Its a slightly different set up from standard - It has a Landy reservoir and about 3m of pipe from front to back!

Guess that won't make too much of a difference.

I did put a reservoir's worth of fluid through already with a small improvement

haha. It's amazing what you don't see. Plainly the engine in the back of something.

What is it. My Nimbus has a standard sized master cylinder all piped through normal 'copper' brake pipes. feels normal. But I've never had to bleed it.

The long pipe could help if you remove the slave and bleed it while it's held up high.

What is really the difference between Verto and not. Why do the old version need a spring and the Verto not?
