I have been looking arround for the weight of a disk break mini in mini mag they say its 638kg and other places say 750 does anyone know the real weight of it.

Want to try and de duce how much weight i have saved so farnand on my journey of holeyness *smiley*

i think the 638 kgs are the really very early minis, and the later ones are the heavy ones :)

Yes nearly Paul on jims scales it was 757 kgs. for some reason it has even been weighed as much as 780 kgs on some lorry weigh bridge. And NO cage.

i was talking to a guy who races mini and he said that when he replaced the rear quarters of his mini, the two that came off felt twice as heavy as the new fresh panels probably down to filler etc. so if a car is old and has a few patches and fills i guess over the whole car that could equal a fair bit of weight.

Not aimed at your car in any way just something i was talking about the other day.

when scruffy weighed my 998 it was 664kg with 10" wheels and half tank of fuel. was standerd trim more or less.
