just wondering if one of these is needed as i have not seen many wiring diagrams with them on, and if i do need one where could i get one from as i have no idea, for the fuel pump

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

dont know anyone that is running a resistor to the pump. i never bothered on any of mine.

Ballest pumps are needed on injected cars, to help with cold starting. (Using the same principal as ballest coil models).

On a carb car, there is usually enough fuel in the float chamber to start the car, so the demand from the fuel pump isn't needed.

I'm sure the pumps are 12v pumps anyway on the metro. Did all models have a ballest resistor for the pump?

Anyway, I never run a ballest on any of my cars, and so far haven't had a pump moter fail. Jam up with shite, cos I didn't fit a prefilter yes, but never burn out !
