Hi all.

im running a std A+ 1275

Can someone point me in the right direction of pistons....

The bloke whos going to help me put the turbo in and rebuilt the motor said i need 10cc dished forged but omega dont do them, is there a better option?

whats the advantage or having high and low cc's when it comes to pistons?

thanks

the 10cc omega pistons are cast and are what most people on here use.

im going to be runnig 18psi on these. and hopefully over 180bhp once i have finished my upgrades. my cr is 8.0:1

if you want forged they are 18cc and are only generaly needed for very hi power

the higher cc dish will allow you to run more boost. as it will lower the compression ratio(cr).

The advantage of having the CCs in the head is that the piston will run cooler. The advantage of having the CCs in the piston is better breathing ( On the A-series) You choose.

Mine gets in the way a bit, but only when it is up. If it is down it does not cause a problem.

Andy please take this the right way, but you need to do some reading up. Lowering the compression ratio for a turbo engine is a pretty fundamental concept that you need to understand really.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

andy the cast omegas are well proven!
and at a good price, you will be better off getting +20"s and 10cc dish in the top and having having the block bored

you will then have a 1293 cc engine,

and ..... as tom says

hope this helps
