Hi Guys,

I have got my hands on a Mk1 66 Deluxe here in OZ with a 1275 in it pretty much stock with LCB's and 1 7/8 system.
I have fitted the carb with a K&N i had spare but i just cant seem to get the tune right, I have put a kit through the carb and set timing etc but the carb just seems to be running a little rich at idle no matter how i set the mixture, runs fine for a bit then starts to run a little rich, i have rechecked the choke and all seems ok, as i said new seals etc.

right now it has a BAV in it, I have a std metro turbo BDD, I could try that i guess as bottom end should be ok.

anyone know what needle to metros had with this carb?

the BDD wont be any good as it gives extra fuel to cool the piston crowns on boost mid throttle onwards

a wast of expensive fuel

you want a BDK in there or a BEJ should place you more in the ball park i would go for the latter if it has 33mm inlet valves in there and if it sports 35mm valves the BDK Especiallyif its camed up say 260 deg duration and beyond
