Yep battery isnt living there. It's going on the passenger side footwell. I've got 2 batteries, 1 for the strip and 1 a bigger one for the road & track.

End of Jan hopefully.

Still got loads to do. Load of custom bits to make. Every job is taking forever. The biggest job is building a full loom that integrates all the engine sensor, ECU, PRo Dash etc.

Matt, are you using the specialist components ecu?. I've been looking at various ecu for my k1100 build. I want to protect for sequential injection incase i choose to add it, but all the DTA, link, and omex all require a cam sensor?

I'm actually using a DTA S40 with batch fire injection. Mainly because I'm more familer with that software / hardware.

I sold my Specialist component ECU along with my old 7 port turbo engine.

My Rolling road guy is a DTA authorised dealer and very familer with mapping the software. He as reliably informed me that a fully sequential system wouldn't really gain me any more BHP over the twin bank batch setup. I don't have any emissions restrictions due to the age of the car, so didnt feel I really needed a fully sequential setup.

Plus the ECU is 300g lighter & £250 cheaper.

What's your logic with sequential?

Yea I did more reading last night on sequential injection and realised i was confusing my terms. I ment the stand off injectors, but then like you say, found out you can batch fire them with a dta, which is the ecu i was leaning towards

The pin steps up. You are looking at the shoulder where its been heat treated before being finish ground to size.

Ah, so on the original pictures they would've been too thick for the ball joints. Still only just thin enough looking at how much hold the nyloc has.
Wonder why they recessed and drilled the portion that hits the rebound buffer.

On the wrong side of the arm for that though. Could be weight saving, but it will only have saved a fraction and I'm sure there's be better/neater ways to do that.

To be fair, I'm really impressed with them. Fitted them with no issues. Everything just works as it should.They weigh 770g with the bronze bush inserts without the pin. So about 1kg lighter than standard.

They look really nice. Are the ball joints standard ones?

What's the recommended way to spit them? No shocking the arm , I guess!

They work with both mini and metro ball joints.

That's a good question. I guess a sissor style splitter.

Looks superb, I really like the upper arms, get a K Nut on that upper ball joint, Nylocs.... No place for them on a proper car *wink*
