Hi all,

Just looking through a few different threads of late and have noticed a a couple of differences between my carb setup and others.

the first pic is the carb of my engine

the second pic is borroed from a recent pic Rick SPI put up (hope you dont mind Rick)

you will see the float vent pipe goes to the port directly above on Ricks but on mine it goes to the vacuum point at the mounting flange.

can anyone explain why?

thanks

Not a problem. I dont know however if mine is right, thats as it came. Havnt got to the stage of fitting it and working out what goes where, no doubt someone will be over soon to explain tho.

Red850 - Yours is correct, it is connected like so because it allows the float bowl to receive air of an equal pressure to that of the manifold. Hence allowing the carb venturi to function correctly.
Rick has the float bowl overflow connected to the fuel input.
