I have been searching but i think due to lack of spellinyg capabilities stupid dyslexiya i cant find any pics of lightened doors please help *smiley*)

They do go a bit floppy in that state, I removed a bit more after that, then screwed in the carbon door skins, now they are pretty rigid again.

Infact I spot more that can go. I left the strip behind the handle slider, to prevent it bending, but a small strip in the middle should be sufficient. there should be at least 150g a side there still to come.

Well i was going to do a big chunk out but leave enough for fg or cf door cards to be fitted on. I was going to have a cutting sesh tomorrow if i can find my angle grinder. How much weight do you think you removed??

yeah doors do go floppy when you remove the winder mech and panel but who cares once the doors closed there fine, if your using a angle grinder be careful not to cut to far into the door lip at the bottom

Yes i will be and i have marked out where im cutting to leave enough meat for doorcards to be fitted, they wont be the lightest but thats cool with me *smiley* can always remove more

clock tower with a sniper rifle

if you go mk1 slider style, butt weld the flange you have to fold (to mount the channel) to the outer skin, builds back alot of rigidy to the doors upperpart

I cut the ones on my hill climb mini out the same apart from on the drivers door I moved the door latch lever, will try and get a pic tomorrow.

mines a bit like G13B except im using perspex windows in mine plus i dont have a fancy handle like that, i just have a cable running up front. Its all pretty tatty in there currently :(

spend too long on here and everything ends up cut out. TM disease spreads!

yes i can, i need to find the locking peice for my angle grinder though, i would have done it yesterday. going to have another look in a sec as im poping over to my garage

i´m running 5mm lexan with mk1 parts in mk3 doors8-)

Ha you don't have too tell me that, i spennt today removing the rear bins and seat overhang, i love it though.
