Well they're doing their job! *happy*

Got the ones which hold on the dashpot and the float bowl off, whith some hacksawing and molegrips as found on the turbo rebuild guide turbo phils website.

But i have a tamperproof screw on the end of the float needle, can't get a hacksaw in there or my molegrips.. any ideas on how to get it out!?

thanks

Tap a small 1/4 drive socket on I forget which size but this is what I used.

You mean the float pivot pin? Isn't that an allen key?

I use a dremel with the small cutting disc fitted, cut a slot in it & screwdriver it out.

I ended up using a junior hacksaw blade by hand to make a slot. A dremel would be much quicker.

Another option is to use a flat blade screwdriver and a hammer, and undo it by putting the blade on the side of the screw and tapping it.

tools i used where 4" grinder, large flat blade screw driver, small cold chisel with a sharp edge and some time worked for me

I had the same problem with mine (see my build thread) but just a flat bladed screwdriver and hammer got mine out, just use the screwdriver to drift the thing round
