Hi, can anyone help?

My turbo mini is running lovely on cruse, till boost when it goes lean till the revs pick up and it goes back to running ok on boost.

I've tryed all the tricks mentioned in posts befor.

Almost feels like there is a glitch in the needle?

Has anyone else suffered with this kind of problem?

many thanks for any help.

Is the needle profiled to suit the engine?

What dash pot oil are you using?

Is the part throttle pipe connected or blanked off?

the needle i was using was a BFA but I am using a BCA to try and richen up the fuel.

The part throttle is blanked of, the oil is 80wt gear oil, with a green 12oz spring.

Try some thinner oil the needle may not be able to lift and lower quick enough with gear oil in there!

This is pretty typicay and can only be reduced and not overcome. Stick wit hthe oil you have and look at re-profiling the needle.

It's the cruise are of the needle that will need work. read here http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=159683

Thanks for the help so far, will stick with the oil for now and do some re-profiling with the needle and see what that does to the A/F ;0)

Was getting low high 14 low 15 when it starts to get boost, then lowers back down to 12

Are you sure that the part throttle lean off pipe is in good order? Not leaking?

In the 13's at last!.. Just

New pipe, with non thread block off in each end, did look into the possibility of split hoses, so replaced them with new just to be on the safe side.

I only say change the oil as it sounds like the needle is playing catch up under acceleration. Generally if it goes lean on boost it will stay lean until the needle has been reprofiled.

It's either that or profile the needle so that it works with the oil you are using.
