just worked out my CR and it came out at 7.2

25cc head
3.8 gasket
18 dish
.8 ring land
4 piston deck to block

on a 1293 engine

does this look right, i intend on running 20psi

Yep, that's a bit low.

I think I ended up with around 20cc in the head to get mine up to 8.6:1. The specs very similar

In the 13's at last!.. Just

take the 4cc off the top of the block

edit* you might have to take a chunk off the head too. to bring it back to near standard.

It'll work, it'll just be a pig off boost and on boost it won't make quite as much power. 8 to 8.5:1 will be better for 20psi.

Imo ideal compression ratio is around 8.0:1, capable of 20psi, so that's what I would be aiming for.
