Way off topic...

I've recently had a component fail in one of my big power amps. I've not got the part number to hand, but after a bit of research I've found that it's a VPM branded 17w wirewound resistor, 60mm long and contained within a ceramic case.

Now I've managed to find an alternative part as the VPM one is NLA. Problem is, I can only buy them in packs of 50+ from the main distributers.

Any ideas as to who could supply these in small quantities? I only need one.

Try mouser they are now in the UK I use them for components in my valve amps that I've built. Very good for the "unusual" component. And now it's next day not 2 weeks! Good luck!

Hmm, it looks very different to that. The ceramic 'body' is about 60mm wide.

It had a wire from each end, but this and the shape aren't important as there's plenty of room in the case to make something else fit. Just needs to do the same job.

That will do the trick!

It looks like one of the wires just wraps around the case too.
