Hi Guys.

I bought this Plenum Chamber couple of months back, in the Description it says that its been modified for a dump valve, but iv'e just noticed everyone else seems to have the dump valve mod the other side of the plenum....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

can anyone help ?

thanks

Doesnt look much good if you want to run an intercooler, as some people cut the pipe off where the dump valve takeoff is on that one.
Which is what i will be doing at some point. Your probably best off getting one in the 'normal' position i think, unless youre not planning on running an intercooler.

You could, but the pipework would be awkward as the plenum will be pointing down towards the turbo, instead of towards the front of the car

You won't be able to run an intercooler because the pipe is pointing the wrong way.

You could have it cut and re-welded.

This is what i shall be doing, not ideal, but no welding involved. Brings the intercooler pipework in a better place so theres less bends needed.

From the picture I reckon if you could get a hose on there it will blow off as soon as it gets a bit of pressure through it.

Cheers Ross.

Cut and ground down smooth as per that i was thinking of. As i said not ideal, but im yet to come across somebody near me with the ability of making a tidy job of modifying it, as i havent an ounce of skill with a welder

In the garage......again!!

I tried a plenum like that, kept blowing off, think coupe on here tried it also with the same problem, you may need to put a swage on the end or run a weld around the neck to give the hose some purchase.

thats about right, chopped it off just as it flares so when you clamp it theres more to hold on to. as for the dumpvale i just got a t-pice off ebay which fits in-line with intercooler
