Can\'t get reverse

Hi guys,
Just got the mini out the garage had a swap around ready fir summer. Tried to reverse up my steep drive and I just can't get the gear. Goes in to 1st and 3rd easy 2nd and 4th seem abit harder but just can't get reverse at all! I've got a KAD quick shift with a collar for reverse I'm wondering if it's that. Any ideas?

It has been standing or a long tome but I've started it up every month or so but not driven it, could this be the problem?

Pre verto or Verto? Check out the clutch adjustment

I'd try a normal shifter if you have one mate, the quick shifts can be a pain in the arse if they get in the wrong position.

Its at verto clutch. Odd thing is nothing has changed since it was last driven.. Unortunatly I don't have a STD shifter to use.
Might be a trip to the scrap yard.

Is it a proper KAD or a copy, i had a copy one and the little ball on the end kept dropping off. Does it swing across the gate when its lifted?, Have seen the underside of the gear selector with dents inwards preventing the shift from swinging across.

the problem will lie with the cad contraption ........ i would ditch this and fit the original one ........much better
