Hi all. im just double checking that these pistons will fit in a 1275 block that im having bored out by +20 to make 1293.....

The block must be bored and honed to suit the pistons, not bore the block then buy the pistons.

STOP!

first off you need to have tha actual pistons you will be using so the machine shop can measure them and bore the block to the right size, pistons arnt all the same size...

second those JE pistions may be short deck height ones for use with 6" rods in which case they will have a smaller diameter pin.

yeh i'm buying the pistons now with all the other parts before it comes out the car mate :)

What do you mean? If you bore a block 20 thou then hone to give whatever the specified piston to bore clearance is then yes they will fit.

Though as joe said ask minispeed how far they sit down the block, with a standard stroke crank and rods, as the block may need a massive skim.

fooks sake. ill look at the omega equivlent.

are they any differnt or will i have to the samee as the je ones?

with the omega's and accralites they sit down the bore a bit (about 40 thou?), some people run them down the bore but I always get the block decked so they come to the top, no where near what the JE's are though, they are just silly (unless they have changed them)
