i hope i can explain this properly,
i've taken the carpet out of my car and spotted a rust patch on the floor just behind the drivers seat near the sill.
i peared into the hole expecting to the the road, alas no road just anothe lair of metal.
i started to cut this top rusty lair of metal away whch looks standard by the way,
what i want to know is the floor 2 laired or have i got some dodgy repair by the previos owner ?

No, out of the factory the floor is a single layer. The sills can over lap a little or has the floor been covered by another piece of metal in a previous repair?

Cut out the rot and have it welded over from underneath then some kind of rust protection...

inner sill? the sills are like a box section as such

*smiley*

but defo does as giallofly says and cut it all out and have the job done properly.

yeah could be part of the inner sill do they over lap the floor some what ?

think you've found ur answer!

not too bad doing inner sills to be honest.

if your considering removing the rear bins and seat though do this first then have some custom full length ones made. you'll see what i mean *smiley*
