Hi all, i am sorry if this is a stupid question but here goes.
The 90 degree elbow pipe.. is the oil in this under a great deal of pressure? I have recently changed this for a shiny new blue 1 and paid a great deal of attention to the clips, making sure they were tight, but whilst at Pete Burgess' place having some fuelling work done it seems to have pissed out half of the oil that i had put in, I have benn under the car and I cannot see any leaks as such, only tell tale drops of oil on this pipe.
Just wondered if the pressure could be great enough to pop it.

It shouldn't be under any pressure, unless you have loads of crankcase pressure!

Could it be a gasket leaking, or even the feed pipe come loose?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

no its not under pressure maybe.......... 1 psi if that ....... the silicone hoses dont stand oil for long and the rubber breaks down, but in your case its new have a go at nipping the clips up again

if the pipe is slightley kinked ? may be that

also some times the adapter flange on the block comes loose where the pipe goes on and requires brazing in for security, this may be your problem ? in that area

hope this helps

if you have wanged the clips up tight they could have cut through the pipe.

Benross has it right (of course) in that silicone hose is not good for oil, unless its fluoro lined.
