Hi all,

I recently decided to pull my mini out of the garage and eventually get it finished! I had a couple of fueling issues but i believe are sorted now(wouldnt run on boost). I also set up my megajolt and eventually after alot of swearing got a map uploaded. I have run into another problem now. The engine will rev freely when im gentle with the accelerator but as soon as i put my foot to the floor i loose all power and im practically thrown through the windscreen. When i drive down the road it sounds like a fire fight in Iraq! If i let off and say give it 25% revs its fine.

I know this could be muliple things due to the megajolt or the fueling but to be honest i dont really know where to start.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

would love to have this on the road for summer.

Thanks

Sounds like there's no oil in the dashpot.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

I know I always say this but...

Is your part throttle lean off pipe in good condition? Mine split causing the problem you describe above.

Oil in the dashpot?

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Ive got oil in the dashpot and ive blocked the part throttle lean off so no pipe there at all. would you suggest putting a pipe on there or will this just make my problem worse?

How have you blocked it? If any air leaks from here you will have problems.

the usual, piece of pipe and a bolt in the end of it. doesn't seem to be leaking but ill give it another check.

all seems fine there. Just out of curiosity, how important is it to shield the wires to the megajolt unit and edis module. The only wires i sheilded were the VR sensor wires.

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

if all else checks out, everything!!

mostly all misfires under boost ar caused by the mixture too lean.

i would also use the search button and look for the T piece Trick for the carb, and do that first! wrote by our very own Turbo Dave

when i tryed to give mine the beens it would backfire, in the end it was the plug gaps, maybe something when all else fails.

cheers for the advice. i changed the plugs and tried the t-piece trick but not luck. It was slightly better but still not good. Ive had the carb off and everything seems ok there. Needle is correct. still no luck so ive pulled the whole megajolt out and loom and im starting again.
