I read in the 998 section that its a good start point with the BDD needle.

one day boost will be mine!

With that spec I'd try a BCA as a starting point.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

BCA is the identifier for the needle.

If you can't get it out there:

ok swt is there any others around that i could try ? im trying not to set this up on a dyno i just dont have the time or money to do it. ( stupid i no) but when your moving country and cant take the car with you makes it a lil hard.

the other thing id like to know is what sort a max boost can i use on this, i see people putting 12 and 14 psi threw theres and i have been told not to go higher than 10psi ?

what sort of power should an engine spec like this make ?

You'll easily run 12psi, at 8.5:1 CR you could run more. 12psi generally gets you between 110 and 120 bananas.

so your saying thats a safe boost to run at, ive got a couple of wastegate springs to play with a 5,6 and 7 psi springs, also i have a boost tap, but just dont wana blow it up. 110 - 120 this is bhp at the fly wheel ?

I run 12psi on a similar setup with 9.4:1CR, no problem, others running similar boost/CR on 998s too.

I run 15psi on 8.5:1 and plan to run up to 20psi.

yes, 110-120 flywheel bhp.

The biggest killer will be the diff, what do you run?

o ok, yea kinda my weak point really didnt have the coin to buy a lsd or any thing flash, ive just got an uprated comp diffpin, the gearbox has been fully rebuilt to match, i duno how long the diff will last with it like that.

if i had a spare $3500NZD i could have had myself a jack knight dogbox ... but no money at the time,

The Minispares crosspin diff is good for more power than you'll ever need, good value too.

A hardened pin will survive at 12psi power, but will ultimately wear. Some on here have used them, maybe worth a question for more advice as it's not something I have direct experience of
