Do you think an a series engine would run if the timing was 180 degrees out? i have a big misfire and im running out of options. I did re-build the engine myself so it could of happened!

oh yes! it will run but like a bag of nails

adress this first! ....... 1342 firing order

first establish no1 then 342 aticlock wise on the distributor

Is the distibutor drive in the correct way?

Easily done...spent many an hour trying to get a motor running, only to find its 180 out.
