hi guys im just after some confirmation from you experienced guys out there just taken a steady drive back from work and car starts to sound like it blowing get to the next junction and it dies refuses to start not fireing. so manage to push it out the way and whip plugs out not realy mucky but gave um a clean checked dizzy all fine. managed to nurse it home poping and farting like a miss fire. just done a compression test and cylinders 1 and 2 have no compression would you say this is defo hg. the engine has just had a full rebuild new rings bearings pumps ect and has only done 250 mile since build. thanks in advance

Done now needs redoing lol

the normal BK450 is the one to use,

there was however a dodgy batch a couple of years ago, it could be that one of these is on yours.

i got the one thats blown from mini sport 3 weeks ago and made sure that the head was done to 55lb. il have a look for that 1 and give it ago thanks Jo

Done now needs redoing lol

check your torque wrench MOST! problems are caused by a craped out wrench what you got from you grandads shed .............Quote:- it was ok when he used it so 30 odd years ago!

i have a craped out torque wrench from my grandad. its seized, he also said. "it was working fine last time i used it" *happy* haha

just had head off defo blown between 1 and 2 all good now tho thanks guys

i was lucky it happend on way home from work. glad it was yeasterday to have the weekend to sort it. al done and back to norm now *happy* Andy your head still looks great after 500 mile

Done now needs redoing lol
