I was in Australia back in February and i got caught speeding..whoops! was doing 128 kph on a 100 kph road. Anyway to cut a long story short the cop gave me the fine which was $361 but he said if i'm not planning on going back to Oz within the next few years then DONT pay it.! So i didnt.

they have tracked you down when you get the reminder from them to UK, so I would think you should pay. If you never heard anything more about it after you came back I would not worry, but as you did.... |

My dad had something similar in holland he got cought doing 135 in a 90 i belive, never paid the fine as he wasnt going back ever again, imo if it costs more than a plane ticket dont worry about it they wont bother if it costs more than the ticket to get you to pay it. Drives

Hmmmmm..! i'm actually surprised they contacted me, they took all my details from my driving license but i never thought they would chase it up!

I'd hope they don't pass the fine over to an international debt collection agency. Wouldn't do you credit rating any good. My advice would be to pay the fine. |

I got caught speeding in Oz but by a camera not a copper, because the car was a rental they had my licence details and sent the ticket back home, I'd actually been home a week when they sent it, I decided to pay it so I wasn't worrying about it. BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races! |

Thats only when people ring up and say where they are. I nearly got done by a mobile one, but as he went to shoot me he slipped over. They are getting sneaky though, unmarked vans parked on the side of the road get a lot of people. And hiding behind bridges on highways. In boost we trust |
